Sarah Iselin: 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare 2024

Iselin brings almost 30 years of experience in healthcare strategy, policy, finance and philanthropy to her position at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. She has worked to make care more more accessible for its 3 million members, including by leading the company to eliminate prior authorization requirements for home-care services. She also exhibited strong leadership in the state when a major healthcare organization filed for bankruptcy, spearheading an action plan in which the insurance company reached out to more than 12,000 members to help them find other care sites. Additionally, she has spoken about the need to strengthen healthcare in Massachusetts, such as through bolstered data-collection efforts about behavioral health and demographic changes. Iselin has served on the boards for several organizations, including the Boston Green Ribbon Commission.
